For use in residential construction such as single family homes, apartments, modular or mobile homes, as well as commercial, industrial and institutional construction as primary, secondary or supplemental heat for new construction or remodel applications. Easily installed without disassembly using mounting holes in rear of cabinet. Dual and triple ratings allow many models to cover most variations of wattage and voltage.

Designed for quiet operation… no popping and pinging normally associated with baseboard heaters. Lead wires and grounding pigtail allow quick field connection to either end of heater. Continuous capillary tube safety thermal cutout protection in case of airflow blockage. Five knockouts at each end for convenient wiring. Built-in cable clamp in each junction box for field wiring without additional hardware. Many different accessories available. • Chimney fin element design for maximum air circulation. Airflow is directed away from wall to help prevent wall soiling. UL listed for installation on wall at floor level with wall-to-wall carpeting. Heater stands unsupported during installation. Navajo White enamel finish retains attractive appearance and is compatible with all interior decors.

• Exclusive heating element design combines the durability of a steel tubular heater with the excellent heat transfer characteristics of aluminum fins

FAN DELAY: On a call for heat, element is energized but fan is delayed until element is warm, eliminating the circulation of cold air during start up. When the thermostat is satisfied, the element is de-energized, but the fan continues until all heated air is discharged providing longer component life and higher comfort level. Designed for easy installation. Heater is mounted prior to wiring. Both hands are free to make field connections in roomy compartment. Motor is totally enclosed, impedance protected with permanently lubricated bearings. Airflow system maximizes air volume at minimum noise level; 65 CFM. Rugged louvered commercial grade steel Architectural grille creates downflow air pattern. This heater is designed for installation in 2 x 4 or larger wall sections using the wall box provided. The heater may also be surface mounted to the wall by using the Surface Mounting Frame, Model No. CWHSMAG (order separately). The heater may be wired with standard building wire (60°C).

DPH & CPH – Decorative and Commercial Pedestal Heaters

CPH/DPH Series units are ideal for high traffic areas with high heat needs where wall mounted units are not appropriate such as air, rail or bus terminals, corridors, lobbies, foyers, auditoriums, etc. These are not intended for residential applications. They can be mounted singly, in lengths from 28 inches to 10 feet, or joined end-to-end for complete perimeter heating. They are ruggedly built to withstand years of hard usage in public and commercial buildings.

A. Hazardous Atmosphere – Because the possibility of a concealed spark can exist from the built-in over-head cutout, heaters should not be used in potentially explosive atmospheres.

B. Corrosive Atmosphere – The high quality finish and steel internal sheet metal parts will give excellent service under most operating conditions, including coastal salt air and industrial atmospheres. However, the finish is not intended for direct salt spray exposure in marine application or highly corrosive greenhouse, swimming pool, chemical storage or industrial atmospheres.

C. Cleanliness – Although specifically designed for mounting below window areas, heaters can be installed on plaster, wood paneled, metal, masonry or composition wall surfaces with reasonable expectation of clean wall operation. Should some soiling occur, after a period of years, smooth walls may be cleaned with standard maintenance materials. For deep textured walls, consideration should be given to choice of enclosure height and watt per foot capacity – generally, the enclosure with lowest surface temperature will have the least soiling tendency.

D. Comfort – Optimum room comfort results when heater is mounted just below the window sill, since window cold down draft is eliminated and maximum convection air distribution without stratification is maintained throughout the room. Because of thetendency for warm air to stratify, installing heaters close to the ceiling is not recommended. If it should be necessary, at least 18” clearance above the air discharge must be maintained. Bottom of heaters are not intended for attractive appearance when mounted above eye level.

E. Air Throw – Since heaters provide only natural convection air throw, they are not ecommended for combatting cold outside air blasts through high traffic, main entry ways and vestibules. Heaters will maintain satisfactory comfort conditions in low traffic, side entry ways and vestibules, but for most entry ways, faster response fan driven heaters would be preferred.

F. Curtains, drapes or blinds – should clear the top of the heater by at least six inches. See I for vinyl blinds. Never permit draperies to completely cover the unit. Furniture – should be placed so it does not touch the heater and so it does not completely block the air vents. Allow at least 4” free space between furniture and the heaters.

G. Recess mounting – UL labeled for free standing wall surface mounting only. Not recommended for mounting behind built-in book shelves, storage cabinets, window seats, etc.

H. In institutional applications such as hospitals, nursing homes, child day-care centers and clinics, it is recommended that low-watt density convectors be used to provide optimum comfort at lowest case temperatures.

I. Due to variations in vinyl compositions and their potential to discolor, the use of stand-off brackets (SO1 or SO2) and/or specifying the lower watt density unit may be required when installing on vinyl wall-coverings or under vinyl window dressings. Prior to setting specifications, consult factory for installation recommendations.

Qmark RCC Cove Heater,

DUAL FUNCTION HEATING: In addition to radiant heat, the RCC Series uses part of its energy to heat air passing behind and over the heater by convection flow, thus helping to “mix” the air in the room and achieving balanced heating throughout.

INDIVIDUAL ROOM CONTROL – The finite control available with electric heat permits individual room or zone control for greater economy, why heat the entire house when you are using only one or two rooms? This applies equally well for whole house heating or supplemental heating.

NEW EXTRUSION DESIGN: The extruded aluminum front panel is coated with high temperature textured paint radiating a majority of its heat energy from the front surface. The remaining energy is “wiped off” by a convection flow behind and over the top of the heater which circulates warm air into the room.

CONVENIENT WALL MOUNTING – NEAR CEILING – The RCC cover heater mounts on any wall surface, near the ceiling where its dual function heating can be fully utilized. Radiant heat energy is directed downward, warming people and objects near the floor, as well as the floor itself. Room air gains heat from these objects and rises toward the ceiling. The back side of the cove heater acts as a convector heater, pulling the cooler air from the floor area, behind and over the heater, thus helping to circulate and mix the air in the room until it reaches an equilibrium temperature. The out-of-the-way mounting also permits complete freedom of furniture placement in a room, because the heaters will not be subjected to blockage, which reduces the efficiency of floor or low-wall mounted heaters.
